AGM Report 2024

Valley Rovers held a very successful AGM last night in Innishannon Parish Hall. Chairperson John O’Donovan welcomed the large crowd. He thanked everyone who contributed to Valley Rovers during 2024 and welcomed New Club Sponsor Alan Holland and his company Keelvar and thanked them for their generous sponsorship. He thanked all the mentors involved in teams and the players, calling for a big push for 2025 to build on 2024

Outgoing Secretary Eva Lehane went through a very comprehensive Secretaries Report detailing all the club activities for the past year. Many tributes were given to Eva who has concluded her term as a very successful and popular Secretary. The club would like to thank Eva for her sterling service over the last 3 years and wish her well in her new role in the club.

Club Treasurer Padraig O’Sullivan went through a very detailed treasurers report. Padraig thanked everyone that fundraised during the year and particularly everyone that supported the club by Donating to the club development. The club really are very appreciative of the support and it’s not too late to donate to support our ongoing development by clicking this link

Valley Rovers are now approaching businesses to look for their support for our development . The support so far from businesses coming on board is very encouraging and he asked our members to support the businesses that support our club. Various items were dealt with in any other business and the meeting concluded with the Chairperson wishing the U21 hurlers the best of luck in the South East Final on Saturday in Belgooly at 2:00pm and he hoped to see a large Rovers crowd there to support the lads.

Valley Rovers would like to thank everyone for their support in 2024 and wish all the officers the best of luck of the coming hopefully successful season ahead.

Farrahy, Kildorrery, Cork / Clondalkin, Dublin

Arthur Hennessy (ret’d Garda Siochana PSV), Farrahy, Kildorrery, Co. Cork, (and formerly Springvale, Kildorrery and Floraville Ave., Clondalkin, Dublin), peacefully on the 10th November 2024 in the care of the kind staff of Mallow General Hospital. Brother of the late Baby Patrick and son of the late Hannah and Jack. Beloved husband of Brenda, loving father of Deirdre, Ciaran, Catherine (Kate) and Leona, adored grandad of Daniel, Patrick, John, Grace, Hannah, Molly and Saga. Sadly missed by his loving family, sisters Mary and Ann, brothers Seamus, Martin and Sean, daughter-in-law Katrina, sons-in-law John and Henrick, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, cousins and a large circle of good friends and kind neighbours.
